RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY TO HAND OVER THE LARGEST WATER TRUCK CAT 773E - GF13W

On June 16, 2020, at Workshop 6, Cao Son Coal JSC - VINACOMIN held a ribbon cutting ceremony to bring the water truck, the champion of dust suppression CAT 773E - GF13W into operation.

Attending the ceremony, there are Mr. Dang Thanh Hai – Vinacomin General Director; Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the QN Party Committee, Vinacomin Deputy General Director; leaders of Cam Pha City; leaders of Cao Son Coal JSC; leaders of Phu Thai Cat Company - the supplier; Leaders of Automobile Industry JSC - VINACOMIN, leaders of open mines, and officials, workers of Workshop 6 - Cao Son Coal JSC...

At the ceremony, Mr. Dang Thanh Hai said: This is important to bring the first brand-new water truck Cat 773E - GF13W into operation at Cao Son Coal JSC. It is a champion of dust suppression and can turn into fire hose. It helps protect the environment, improve working condition at mine sites. This is also one of the actions to implement the production policy associated with environmental protection and followed Vinacomin’s commitment to Cam Pha city and Quang Ninh province in protecting the environment.

THE SPECIAL POINTS OF CAT 773E – GF13W WATER TRUCK

Cat 773E – GF13W water truck designed and manufactured by Ground Force and Caterpillar – the world’s largest manufacturer of construction and mining equipmeny.
Cat 773E – GF13W water truck was installed on a 60-ton dump truck Cat 773E with the height of a 2-storey building.
Designed by Caterpillar and specially manufactured for watering applications, the tank of Cat 773E – GF13W is 49.2m3, equivalent to 50 tons of water.
On Cat 773E – GF13W, there are turbochargers, electronically controlled fuel injection systems, appropriate power spay automatically controlled; Centrifugal water pump, capacity 80kW (100HP), flow 4,540 liters/minute.
When operating, it has two functions: dust suppression and fighting fire:
- Dust suppression function is a sprinkler system including rear sprayer with 4 nozzles; spraying system on both sides of the truck with 4 high pressure nozzles (60 PSI) to ensure watering on the road from 25-26m/ pass. Its efficiency is 3 times better the current renovated water truck.
- The canon can spray 20m height and 58m distance.
Cat 773E – GF13W has 6 spray modes:
- General driving (rear sprays always-on).
- Light spray (just outer two rears with either timed or staggered spray).
- Spreading out (rears with side sprays always on).
- Dump water (gravity feed spray and/or bar).
- Leave open for operator to set.
- Water cannon only.

Therefore, Cat 773E - GF13W water truck with its suitable spray density provides higher dust suppression efficiency, minimizes dust spreading at mine sites, provides a cleaner environment to improve the efficiency of coal mining activities, protects the environment and the health of workers.
