This position is mainly responsible for parts inventory transactions related to the reports of movement of all the stores and support to meet the daily working requirements at branches. Key duties include overseeing the accounting cost and control of spare parts inventory. The position requires to manage a team of inventory accountant and close collaboration with Parts Operations Department and daily support for Finance team.
Allocating Landed Cost (LC2), calculating cost of goods sold (COGS), verifying COGS, validating month-end WIP (Work-in-Progress) and adjusting journal entries if needed.
Reconciliation stock movement between inventory system with accounting system (WMS vs U4 (in/out put), point out the list of variance.
Review tax rate of parts applied for 8% or 10% upon Exim data, adjust selling pricing (KIT/HOSE/ … in DBS/WMS).
Participate in system upgrades or implementations related to inventory modules & managing inventory ledger accounts for spare parts, modify master setups (GL/business codes/LC2 cost allocation codes/exchange rate updates…) related to accounting in WMS/DBS)
Opening and closing inventory periods upon reconciliation at month end/year end.
Reviewing inventory reports: goods in transit, surplus/shortage, aging reports, stock movement reports and providing analytical data related to spare parts, submitting to management monthly, annually.
Supervising parts inventory count/random internal auditor monthly actual/physical on hand, including variance investigations in collaboration with Parts Operation Dept.
Perform inventory revaluations and calculate inventory reserves at month end/year end if necessary.
Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management and accounting.
Supervise and guide inventory accounting staff to ensure high performance and compliance; provide training and support to team members on inventory procedures and systems.
Perform other tasks as assigned by senior management.
University graduate in Finance/ Accounting or Trading/ Commercial/ Economics: Prerequisite
At least 3 years of working experience in the same position
Computer literate and familiar MS Office software
Be able to use ERP accounting software
Good command of English language (oral and written)
Strong analytical skills, focused on detailing
Good interpersonal skills and good organization/time management skills
